RentReview exists because Hoboken renters were tired of finding out things only after the lease was signed. We protect honest first-hand opinion. We do remove illegal content.
What we will not remove
Honest opinions about the building, the unit, the landlord's responsiveness, the heat, the pests, the noise. A negative review is not defamation. It's a renter's experience. We protect that.
What we will remove
- Personal information about the landlord, super, or any individual.
- Threats, harassment, slurs, or discriminatory language.
- Demonstrably false factual claims (e.g. "this building burned down" when it didn't).
- Doxxing, contact info, or anything that violates our terms.
How to flag a review
Any reader can click ⚐ Report on any review. Our moderation queue is anonymous on both sides. We respond within 5 business days. We do not share reviewer identities. We can't: we hash them.
Can I respond to a review?
Not directly today, because that would invite arguments and out reviewers. The best response is to fix the issue and earn better reviews. We're considering verified-landlord replies for a future release.

Send notices to hello@rentreview.us. We follow the law. We do not preemptively remove content on request.
